This lean turkey meatballs with whole wheat spaghetti healthy recipe contains 274 calories, takes about 25 minutes to prepare and serve and is a good source of fibre.
Ingredients
125g lean turkey mince 125cals
50g of cherry tomatoes 10cals
40g whole wheat spaghetti 139cals
Garlic
Fresh Basil
Black pepper and salt
Half a teaspoon of dried herbs
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180c and season the turkey mince with the black pepper, salt and dried herbs.
Form the meat into small balls and then place them on a greased tray and cook in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
In a saucepan fry the garlic in a drizzle of olive oil and add the cherry tomatoes and allow to cook for 10 to 15 minutes.
Stir in the cooked meatballs, ensuring that they are covered by the sauce. Then add the fresh chopped basil.
Cook the spaghetti in the boiling water, drain and then place the meatballs in the sauce on top of the spaghetti.
Garnish with fresh basil and black pepper.
