Below is the traditional starter, main and pudding menu to enjoy on Burns Night on the 25th January as we celebrate Scotland's Bard, Robert Burns.
There are several choices of starters for a Burns Night menu, but we at Scottish Recipes favour
Cock a Leekie Soup or
Scotch Broth.
There can only be one choice for the main, the puddin' of the Chieftain race,
Haggis which we'd suggest serving with mashed tatties (potatoes)
and
neeps (swede), as seen in the photo above.
A rich and luxurious dessert to round off a fine evening would be
Cranachan followed by coffee and
Shortbread.
The links above take you directly to easy recipes for a Burns Night menu and we do recommend a fine malt whisky or two!
